Jesus at The Nail Salon

I met Jesus yesterday in a nail salon while getting a pedicure. Random, right? ... well not really. He's in everything. Always present, always loving us, always waiting for that moment each day that we look up and lock eyes with Him. Yesterday that moment happened while treating myself to a pedicure. I captured the moment on my phone to remind myself of just how dearly loved I am. Here it goes... "I just had the most grace filled pedicure experience! I walked in and was assigned to chair #7 (7 is my lucky number). A man walked over and offered me water,  placed my purse on the side table and proceeded to say "thank you" multiple times. He then turned on the chair for it to start massaging me.  I settled back into the chair closing my eyes, allowing my muscles to relax, letting go of all the worries I had been carrying from the week before, while also tuning my ears to the smooth soulful voice of Chris Stapleton singing 'Tennessee Whisky". Stewarding The Secret Place

I've been studying Song of Songs in The Passion translation the past few months, and as I read through chapter 2 this past week; The Lord gave me this revelation that I'd like to share. Here it goes! Feel free to chime in and let me know your thoughts! I'm reading through Song of Songs 2 and the Shulamite woman says in verses 3-6 how she finds rest and abundance of life in God's presence. The following verse, verse 7, is the popular line that is often repeated at conferences and when discussing purity. "Promise me, brides to be, by the gentle gazelles and delicate deer that you'll not disturb my love until she is ready to arise." Often times, this is interpreted as not partaking in sex until married or remaining abstinent until marriage. Though I believe this is true,  I also believe God is saying so much more in this verse than just that. If you look closely at the verses before, The Lord is affirming her identity in Him and she's realizing that al...

Paducah

I recently went on a missions trip to Paducah, Kentucky and had a fresh encounter with Holy Spirit. I wanted to share the journal entree I wrote about it here on my blog! So here it goes.... I had a fresh encounter with Holy Spirit this weekend while in Paducah. The fire of God flowed through every part of my body. The joy of the Lord weld up in my spirit and the only thing I could do was shout His praises. THIS is what I live for. Not the praises of man, recognition, or even the amazing prophetic words about my future. But it's to taste and see the goodness of The Lord. To feel His nearness. Just one encounter and you will never be the same!  I pray that whoever is reading this would have fresh new encounters with God. I am a firm believer that it takes one encounter with God and your life will never be the same!
